Lemongrass and Ginger from Akbar is a herbal blend of two ingredients that turn up in kitchens all over Sri Lanka: fragrant, citrusy lemongrass and warm, peppery ginger. This box holds 15 tea bags, 30 g in all.
The lemongrass gives the cup a clean, lemony top note, and the ginger follows with gentle heat that lingers. The infusion is light in body and pale gold in colour, and it works as well at the end of a meal as it does in the middle of a working afternoon.
Akbar's current shop sells this blend in a 20-bag box; this page is the earlier 15-bag pack.
