Classic English Breakfast in the large 250g tin is the everyday-sized pack of this Akbar blend, aimed at households that get through a pot or two every morning.
It is a blend of high-grown Ceylon black teas, Broken Orange Pekoe (BOP) grade, from the Dimbula region. The cup is bright and brisk, with a full body and a malty depth that comes through milk and sugar. Many people drink it strong with milk at breakfast and weaker, black, later in the day.
The tin is resealable, so the leaf keeps well on the kitchen counter between uses.

How to brew
- One level teaspoon per cup.
- Pour on water at a rolling boil.
- Steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Strain, then add milk or sugar as you like.
Serving ideas
- With milk at breakfast, alongside toast or hoppers.
- Brewed strong for a pot of milk tea in the Sri Lankan style.
