Ambarella Lodge is set within a coconut plantation and spice garden just outside Katunayake, in Hunumulla. It's a quiet base for travellers who want greenery and a slower pace close to the airport rather than a city hotel.
The lodge sits on Temple Road in Hunumulla (Palliyapitiya West), within the plantation grounds, around a 25–30 minute drive (roughly 16 km) from Bandaranaike International Airport and not far from Colombo's western coast.
Rooms are arranged as Standard, Superior and Deluxe categories, many set among the grounds with views over the pool, spice garden or coconut palms. Bungalow rooms come with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, en-suite bathrooms, tea/coffee facilities, minibars, private terraces and Wi-Fi.
