About this experience
Spend four days exploring the cool highland landscapes of central Sri Lanka on this private tour. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide collects you and drives you through the misty hills between Nuwara Eliya and Haputale, stopping at a tea factory and plantation before heading into Horton Plains National Park — a UNESCO World Heritage Site sitting atop the southern ridge of the central highlands. Along the way, two 500 ml water bottles per person are provided each day, and all parking, fuel, and highway tolls are covered.
Inside the park, lace up your boots and trek through montane evergreen forests, rolling grasslands, and marshy valleys home to a remarkable range of endemic flora and fauna. The trail leads to World's End, a sheer escarpment that drops 900 metres at 2,140 metres altitude, and on to Baker's Falls, where cool spray drifts across the path. Entrance fees, accommodation, and meals are arranged separately, giving you full flexibility on where you stay and eat each night.
