About this experience
Leave Negombo and head north into Sri Lanka's Cultural Triangle on this two-day private tour. Day one takes you to Pinnawala, where you watch elephants bathe and feed at close range, before continuing to Sigiriya to climb the 5th-century rock fortress — 200 metres of ancient frescoes, mirror-wall inscriptions, and sweeping plains views await at the summit. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide handles all driving, parking, and highway tolls, and keeps two 500 ml water bottles per person stocked each day.
Day two heads to Minneriya National Park, where large herds of wild elephants gather around the reservoir, joined by sambar deer, painted storks, and cormorants. The tour runs on a private vehicle throughout, so you set the pace. Note that hotel accommodation, meals, and site entrance fees are not included — Lakpura arranges the transport and guiding so you can book the stays and tickets that suit your budget.
