Steigen Sie in ein klimatisiertes Fahrzeug in Ihrem Dambulla-Hotel ein und fahren Sie nach Osten zu Polonnaruwa, Sri Lankas königliche Hauptstadt des 11. Jahrhunderts. Ihr englischsprechender Fahrer-Guide führt Sie durch kolossale Steinsdagobas, den ikonischen Gal Vihara Felsentempel und die Ruinen des Königspalastes – Strukturen, die eine Zivilisation prägten. Eintrittskarten werden separat bezahlt, daher bringen Sie lokale Währung für die Kulturstätte mit.
Am Nachmittag tauschen Sie antike Steine gegen offene Savanne, wenn Sie in einen gemeinsamen Jeep für eine halbtagige Safari im Minneriya-Nationalpark steigen.
