Heritance Kandalama, Dambulla
Perched on a mountainside overlooking Kandalama Lake and the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Heritance Kandalama is a five-star retreat that blends luxury with the natural landscape of Sri Lanka's Cultural Triangle. The hotel sits within a 230-acre Kandalama Estate, 11 km from the ancient city of Dambulla, placing guests within easy reach of some of the island's most celebrated heritage sites while keeping them enveloped in calm, forested surroundings.
The property's design carries the unmistakable architectural influence of Geoffrey Bawa, and the interiors — timber-panelled, quietly elegant — feel as though the building has grown organically from the hillside rather than been imposed upon it. Guests consistently return for the combination of thoughtful service, exceptional dining, and the sense that nature is never far from the window.

The city of Colombo lies approximately 160 km from the hotel, while the International Airport is around 170 km away. A bus station is available in Dambulla town, and taxi services operate from the hotel premises for guests who prefer a more private transfer.
