About this experience
Leave your hotel in Beruwala and travel in an air-conditioned vehicle up into the central highlands, with your English-speaking chauffeur guide leading the way. The 13-hour private day trip covers Kandy's most iconic landmarks: stand before the Temple of the Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism's most sacred sites, then explore technical workshops where artisans demonstrate gem crafting, woodcarving, and batik making. Entrance tickets to the temple and botanical garden are not included and can be purchased on the day.
The tour continues to the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens, where you can walk among a remarkable variety of tropical plants and flowers spread across the grounds.
