The Blackpool stands on Mahagastota Hill Climb in the Blackpool quarter of Nuwara Eliya, on the road that climbs south out of town towards Badulla. The bus stand is 3.8 km away, about nine minutes by car, and Nanu Oya railway station on the Kandy to Badulla line is 6.5 km, roughly fifteen minutes.
