Accepted Answer

Yes, a growing body of pharmacological research has identified bioactive compounds including triterpenoids, tannins, flavonoids, and saponins in various parts of the plant. Laboratory studies suggest antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory properties, though clinical trials in humans remain limited and no mainstream pharmaceutical products have been derived from the species to date.
