Gal Oya Valley National Park är byggt omkring Senanayake Samudraya, Sri Lankas största reservoar, och terrängen förändras konstant när din jeep tränger djupare in — öppen savann och bergsgräsmark ger vika för tät buskmark och tropisk skog. Din förare fungerar också som din spårare och läser marken och kronorna så att du inte missar det som finns där.
Jeepen är bara din — en privat 4x4 för en till sex gäster, tre timmar inne i parken. Vid bokning väljer du din konfiguration: Jeep Only, med parkentrébiljetter betalda kontant vid grinden, eller Jeep with Tickets, med entré inkluderad i din Lakpura-bokning. På båda alternativen kan du lägga till en naturalist som en valfri extra, vilket ger specialistkunskap till varje observation. Pickup och drop-off är kostnadsfria inom 5 km från parkgrinden, och flaskvatten följer med dig.

Keep Jungle Drive
A super 5/6 hours spent with knowledgeable guides and fun in a jeep. Bird life plentiful. Elephants, jackals, deer, water buffaloes to name a few. Take sun screen and water.

Drive and boat trips were good in themselves but wildlife limited
We did the boat safari. Pleasant trip but on a sunny day it can get very hot.
Good for elephants and large water birds. The fringes of the lake are either grass or rocks so we saw few smaller birds.

Not to be missed. Unique experience
A boat safari with guides. Very beautiful!
Many elephants and birds. Even monkeys and crocodiles. We stayed until sunset. Which was amazing to see.
