Samadhi Statue, one of the greatest pieces of sculpture from the early Anuradhapura era, is situated between the enormous Abhayagiriya Stupa and the Kuttam Pokuna (Twin Ponds) of the historic Abhayagiri Monastery. It is believed to have been carried out around the third or fourth century. It is 7 feet 3 inches (2.21 meters) tall and is constructed of marble dolomite. This traditional replica represents the ancient Samadhi Buddha statue.
