About this experience
Your driver picks you up from your Galle hotel and takes you south-east through Sri Lanka's coastal landscape in an air-conditioned vehicle. The full-day excursion covers the roughly 12-hour round trip, giving you ample time inside Yala National Park — one of the country's most biodiverse reserves and a stronghold for leopards, elephants, sloth bears, and crocodiles. A litre of bottled mineral water is included for the road.
At the park, you transfer to a open safari jeep guided by an English-speaking driver who doubles as your wildlife tracker. He reads the terrain, spots movement in the scrub, and positions the jeep for the best sightings. This is a private tour — no shared group, no fixed group pace. Note that park entrance fees, meals, and gratuities are not included, so bring local currency. Minimum age for participation is five years.
