About this experience
Board your private Toyota or Mitsubishi 4x4 jeep — carrying up to six passengers — and head into Yala National Park, Sri Lanka's second-largest wildlife reserve, with an experienced driver who doubles as your tracker. Over three hours, you scan the scrub for the Sri Lankan leopard, one of the highest-density leopard populations on the planet, while wild elephants graze near the track and crocodiles bask along the waterways. Binoculars earn their keep here: hundreds of aquatic and migratory bird species nest around the park's reservoirs and lagoons.
Your Lakpura jeep collects you from any point within 5 km of the Yala National Park gate at no extra charge, and a one-litre bottle of water per person is included. All taxes, service charges, and park entrance tickets (when the Jeep with Tickets option is selected) are covered. Food, gratuities, and transfers from beyond the 5 km radius of the Palatupana gate are not included.
