About this experience
Set off from Ahungalla for an 8.5-hour day trip to Udawalawe National Park — one of Sri Lanka's best places to spot wild elephants in their natural habitat. Your English-speaking safari driver doubles as your tracker, navigating the park's open plains and grasslands in a dedicated safari jeep for a full three hours. A one-litre bottle of mineral water is provided, and your hotel pick-up and drop-off are handled throughout in an air-conditioned vehicle.
This is a private tour, so the jeep is yours alone. Keep your eyes on the reservoir banks and scrubland where herds tend to gather, and watch for water buffalo, crocodiles, and birds of prey along the way. Park entrance tickets are included when you select the "Transport with Tickets" option at booking. Minimum age for participation is 5 years.
