About this experience
Board a shared boat from Ahungalla and head south into the open Indian Ocean, where blue whales, sperm whales, and fin whales — the largest mammals on earth — move through some of the world's most productive whale-watching waters off Mirissa. The full-day tour runs for seven hours and is open to guests aged five and above, so families are welcome. Hotel pick-up and drop-off are included, and you travel in an air-conditioned vehicle to and from the harbour. Entrance tickets and a one-litre bottle of mineral water per person are also covered.
Meals, drinks beyond your bottled water, gratuities, and personal expenses are not included, so bring snacks and any extras you'd like on board. Lakpura organises all logistics, leaving you free to scan the horizon and catch that unmistakable spout breaking the surface.
