About this experience
Board an air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel in Ahungalla and head to Bundala National Park — a Ramsar-listed wetland on Sri Lanka's southern coast and one of the island's finest havens for migratory waterbirds. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide handles the drive, so you arrive ready to explore. At the park, transfer into a safari jeep with a dedicated English-speaking safari driver who doubles as your tracker for a three-hour game drive through lagoons, scrubland, and sandy flats alive with flamingos, painted storks, and a wealth of other wintering species. Butterfly watchers will find plenty to stop for along the way.
