About this experience
Follow the sacred trail of Ramayana across Sri Lanka over six days in a private vehicle with your English-speaking chauffeur guide. Begin in Kandy at the Temple of the Tooth and a traditional cultural dance show, then head to the hill country around Nuwara Eliya to visit Sita Amman Temple in Seetha Eliya — where Sita is believed to have been held captive — and Divurumpola Temple, where she is said to have proven her innocence. A stop at Ravana Falls and the adjoining cave adds another layer to the legend.
From the highlands, travel south to the coast. A jeep safari through Yala brings the landscape to life before you reach Ussangoda, the barren clifftop strip where Ravana's Pushpaka Vimana was said to land. In Galle, the rocky outcrop of Rumassala — with its unusual herbs — is believed to be the very fragment of the Himalayas dropped by Hanuman. Your Lakpura chauffeur guide handles all transport, fuel, parking, and highway tolls; two 500 ml water bottles per person per day are included. Hotel accommodation, meals, and entrance fees are not included.
