Sudantha is a herbal toothpaste from Link Natural, a Sri Lankan manufacturer that has been working at the intersection of Ayurveda and modern production since 1982. It is registered with Sri Lanka's Department of Ayurveda and made at Link Natural's facility in Kapugoda, Sri Lanka, under a company certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001. The formulation is non-fluoridated.
The paste draws on a selection of plant extracts that have a long place in Ayurvedic tradition. The herbal ingredients in the 45g pack are: Miswak (Salvadora persica) jack, Beli/Arjuna (Putranjiva roxburghii) fruit, Ajenwan (Trachyspermum ammi) fruit, Karandai (Prangos pabularia) root, Karadu (Syzygium aromaticum) flower bud, Aralu (Terminalia chebula) fruit, Inguru (Zingiber officinale) rhizome, and Neem (Azadirachta indica) gel. These extracts sit alongside a conventional paste base of hydrated alumina, sorbitol, water, titanium dioxide, sodium lauryl sulphate, disodium phosphate, flavour, xanthan gum, and saccharin sodium.
Link Natural describes the approach as combining plant extracts documented in Ayurvedic texts with contemporary development and manufacturing methods. The company positions Sudantha for total oral care, and the product carries the label 'Total Oral Care' across its range. Because the formulation is Ayurvedic rather than a conventional cosmetic product, it sits under a separate regulatory category and is registered accordingly with the relevant Sri Lankan authority.
Sudantha is available in several tube sizes — 45g, 80g, and 120g — and in multi-tube packs. Note that different pack sizes carry distinct herbal ingredient declarations; the ingredient list above reflects the 45g packaging specifically. The Homeopathic Herbal variant listed in the option ladder is a separate product line and carries its own formulation. All sizes are manufactured and distributed by Link Natural Products (Pvt.) Ltd., 189 New Road, Colombo 102, Sri Lanka.
