Lifetone Pure Natural Aerva Lanata Tea is a single-ingredient herbal infusion made from dried granules of aerva lanata, the plant known in Sri Lanka as Polpala and in English as mountain knotgrass. Each pouch contains twenty individually wrapped sachets, and the product is registered under the Department of Ayurveda, Sri Lanka — the statutory body responsible for regulating herbal preparations in the country.
Mountain knotgrass is a woody perennial herb native to Asia and Africa, with a long history of use in Ayurvedic and traditional medicine systems across Sri Lanka, India, and beyond. Lifetone sources and manufactures this tea in Killinochchi, in the north of Sri Lanka, at a facility certified to ISO 22000:2005 for food safety management. The sole ingredient is dried aerva lanata granules; nutrients declared on the pack include carbohydrates, protein, fat, and dietary fibre, along with a range of minerals — calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, and zinc.
The outer packaging is a kraft paper stand-up pouch with a resealable zipper. Once the pouch has been opened, the manufacturer recommends transferring any remaining sachets into an airtight container to preserve freshness. The product is distributed from the United Kingdom by Possible Green Private Limited, making it straightforward to ship internationally.
Brewing is simple: pour freshly boiled water over the sachet and leave it to infuse for at least two minutes. A few gentle stirs and a light squeeze of the bag before removing it will draw out the full essence and flavour. The pouch is available as a single unit or in a pack of three, and a whole-herb loose variant is also offered for those who prefer that format.
Pregnant women, lactating mothers, children, and anyone currently taking medication or due to undergo surgery should consult a doctor before use, as stated on the packaging.
