This is a Sinhala-language title, written and printed entirely in Sinhala, so readers without the language will not be able to follow it.
It appears in M. D. Gunasena's Lihini Poth series, a line of small-format Sinhala books that the publisher began in the middle of the last century, taking its cue from the Penguin paperbacks then being produced in the United Kingdom. The Lihini books became a familiar part of Sinhala reading life, and the series has been brought back by Gunasena in a new design in response to requests from readers. This volume, by George Victor Miguel, is one of the titles in that revived line.
For buyers outside Sri Lanka, the appeal is twofold: the text itself, and the series it belongs to. Gunasena is a long-established Colombo publisher and bookseller, and the Lihini imprint is closely associated with the house. Collectors of Sinhala paperbacks, and readers abroad keeping up a language they grew up with, are the people most likely to want it.
