About this experience
Lace up your boots and head into the Hanthana Mountain Range, a rolling chain of peaks just outside Kandy. After a pre-trek briefing at the agreed meeting point, you set off on a 6–9 km trail through dense montane terrain — cloud-kissed ridges, spice gardens, and forest paths that open onto sweeping valley views. An experienced naturalist leads the way, pointing out endemic flora and birdlife as you climb. Bottled water is provided throughout, and entrance fees are covered where applicable. The full outing runs six hours.
This is a private hike, so the pace is yours. Minimum age is 12. Transport to and from the trailhead is not included, so arrange your own transfer from Kandy. Pack personal snacks and any extra drinks you might want — they're not part of the service. Lakpura organises the rest: your guide, your water, and a route calibrated to reward the effort.
