A chauffeur driven standard bus rental from Lakpura gives a group of up to fifteen adults, luggage included, their own private air-conditioned vehicle and a dedicated English-speaking chauffeur for the length of their stay in Sri Lanka. There are no shared coaches, no fixed departure times, and no other passengers — the bus and the person driving it belong entirely to your group from the first pickup to the final drop-off.
The chauffeur works an eight-hour day, generally running from six in the morning until eight in the evening, and is selected for being punctual, personable and fluent in English. If your plans run longer on a given day, additional hours can be arranged. A nine-day rental, for example, covers a total of 1,100 kilometres within the included allocation. If your itinerary takes you beyond that figure, any excess distance is simply billed at a per-kilometre rate at the end of the journey.
For groups travelling within Colombo, the mileage count opens when your chauffeur reaches you at the pickup point and closes when you are dropped off; a small garage-to-pickup distance is added at each end of the rental. One practical detail worth noting: overnight accommodation for the chauffeur is not included in the standard rate.
