About this experience
Board your air-conditioned vehicle in Kandy and head into the Central Highlands on this private, 10-hour day trip to Nuwara Eliya. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide collects you directly from your hotel and drives you up to Ramboda Falls — 109 metres high and the 11th tallest waterfall in Sri Lanka — before continuing to Hakgala Botanical Gardens, where flowering plants fill terraced hillside beds. You'll also stop at a tea factory to follow the leaves from withering to rolling to final packing, then walk through the cool resort town of Nuwara Eliya and its historic streets.
The day closes at Shanthipura Viewpoint, where the highland panorama stretches across tea estates and misty ridges. Bottled water is provided throughout, and your guide handles all driving logistics so you can focus on the scenery. Note that entrance fees to Hakgala Gardens, Gregory Lake, and Shanthipura Viewpoint are paid separately on the day. Minimum age is 5. Lakpura arranges your pickup, transport, and guide — everything else is yours to explore at your own pace.
