Beam Belimal Tea Bags hold dried bael flowers (Aegle marmelos), known in Sinhala as beli mal, for one of Sri Lanka's best-loved herbal drinks. Belimal is traditionally drunk in place of a cup of tea and served as a cooling drink. Brew a tea bag in boiling water for 3 to 4 minutes and sweeten it to taste.
The tea bags hold only bael flowers, so the drink contains no tea leaves and no caffeine. In Sri Lanka it is often sweetened with jaggery, the traditional palm sugar.
