Parade Silver Elephant is an Orange Pekoe (OP) grade Ceylon black tea from the Parade Elephant range of Battler. It brews a brisk, lively cup with a bright golden colour and a clean finish.
The 100g of loose leaf is packed in a tin caddy, with the tea sealed in foil inside. The tin is easy to reseal and keeps well on a shelf, which also makes it a handy gift from Sri Lanka.
In the pack
- 100g loose leaf Ceylon black tea, OP grade
- Foil-sealed inside a tin caddy
- Shelf life: 3 years from packing
Tasting notes
Brisk and bright, with a golden liquor and a clean, smooth finish. Lighter in body than the broken grades, so it suits drinkers who take their tea plain.
How to brew
- Use one teaspoon (about 2.5 g) of leaf per cup.
- Pour on freshly boiled water.
- Steep for 3 to 5 minutes, then strain.
Serving ideas
Drink it plain or with a slice of lemon. A short brew of about 3 minutes keeps it at its brightest; add milk if you brew it longer.
