Festive Elephant Fruit Cocktail is a Ceylon black tea from Battler, blended with a fruit cocktail flavour and packed as 100 g of loose leaf in a decorated tin caddy.
The base is a Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe (FBOP) black tea, a broken-leaf grade with some tip that brews quickly to a full cup. The fruit flavouring adds a mixed-fruit aroma on top of the tea, for a lighter, fruitier pot than plain black tea.
In the pack
- 100 g of loose leaf tea in a tin caddy.
- Ingredients: Ceylon black tea (FBOP), fruit flavouring.
- Packed in Sri Lanka.
Tasting notes
A fruity aroma over a medium-bodied Ceylon black tea, with a bright, coppery liquor.
How to brew
- Use one teaspoon of leaf (about 2.5 g) per cup.
- Pour on freshly boiled water.
- Steep for 3 to 5 minutes, then strain.
Serving ideas
Best black, with a little sugar or honey if you like. Brew it strong, cool it and pour over ice for a fruity iced tea. The tin suits a gift hamper.
