Rooibos Cream from Akbar is South African rooibos blended with a smooth vanilla cream flavour. This box holds 15 tea bags, 30 g in all.
Rooibos is the needle-like leaf of a South African shrub, not the tea plant. It brews into a red-amber cup with a naturally sweet, slightly earthy taste, and here the vanilla adds a soft, dessert-like roundness. It does not turn bitter if left to brew a little longer.
Akbar's current shop sells this blend in a 20-bag box; this page is the earlier 15-bag pack.
