Blackcurrant Burst is a flavoured black tea from Akbar, sold as a box of 20 individually foil-wrapped tea bags, 40g net, or 2g per bag.
The tea is high-grown Ceylon black tea of Broken Orange Pekoe Fannings (BOPF) grade, a small leaf cut that brews quickly to a dark, full cup. To this the maker adds natural blackcurrant flavour and dried fruit pieces, so the cup has a tart, berry edge over a firm tea base.
Each bag sits in its own foil wrap, which keeps air, light and moisture away from the tea and fruit until the bag is opened. That makes the box a practical choice for a desk drawer or for travelling.
It is good hot and also works as iced tea: brew it a little stronger, let it cool and pour it over ice. Drink it plain or lightly sweetened.

How to brew
- One bag per cup.
- Water at 100 C, freshly boiled.
- Steep for 3 to 5 minutes.
