Ahmad Tea's Special Blend has been sold around the world for more than 30 years. It combines bright Ceylon black tea with a little of Ahmad Tea's signature bergamot flavouring. The base is low-grown Ceylon from Sri Lankan gardens below 600 metres, valued for its bright, rounded flavour, and the bergamot lifts the brisk, citrusy notes of the tea.
The result is a full-flavoured cup with a zesty aroma. Look closely and you'll see both whole leaves and tips in the blend, which steep into a glistening copper infusion. Great Taste Award judges gave it one star, noting that the balance with the bergamot is good. The 450g hinged caddy keeps the tea fresh and can be refilled and reused once it is empty.
How to brew
Drink it with a slice of lemon or a splash of milk.
