Accepted Answer

The lagoons and waterways near Katuneriya support mugger crocodiles, various water birds, and monitor lizards. Further afield, Wilpattu National Park offers sightings of leopards, elephants, and deer. The coastal lagoons around Negombo are also good for birdwatching.
