On the wildlife leg, Wilpattu — Sri Lanka's largest national park — spreads across a mosaic of dense jungle and natural lakes known as villus. Leopards are the headline act, and Wilpattu holds the highest concentration of them in the country; sloth bears, spotted deer, and water buffalo share the same terrain.
