Radiant Reading must be one of the most popular series of his kind ever to be published - and its popularity is worldwide . In his new edition , the essential features have been retained and changes have been made for two purposes only - to bring factual materials up-to-date, and to present the excellent and well- tried material in a more modern manner .The prose passages are introduced by a few words which are probably unfamiliar to the pupil. These should be made clear before individual reading begins. The few carefully chosen questions are, in this edition , placed at the end of each passage . In the course of reading , pupils will find the answers to these questions . The poems have been chosen for enjoyment and on account of their suitability for dramatic work and speech training. The short play has been devised for acting with the minimum of scenery and to give wide opportunities for the dramatic interpretation which children enjoy.
