About this experience
Set out from Ella on this private 9-hour hiking tour to Horton Plains National Park, Sri Lanka's highest and most exposed plateau. The landscape is unlike anywhere else on the island — sweeping wild grasslands broken by dense cloud-forest patches, rocky outcrops, slender waterfalls, and mist-covered lakes. The trail rewards every step with dramatic scenery that shifts as the morning fog lifts. Participants must be aged 12 or over, and the tour is conducted in English throughout.
Lakpura includes lunch, refreshments, and energy slabs to keep you going on the trail, plus a qualified first aid officer for the full duration. Note that the park entrance fee, hotel pickup and drop-off, additional food or beverages, and gratuities are not included, so plan accordingly before you set off.

Good Exercise, Not worth the Price for Foreigners
My husband and I hiked Horton Plains National Park. We were advised to leave Nuwera Eliya at 5 AM, watch the sunrise along the way and start our hike around 7 AM which we did. It was cold but warmed up quite quickly on…

Misty experience
25 $ to see a mud path, mist and rain everywhere. No animals nor panorama. If bad weather won't worth the price and the experience.. and no need to get up so early!
