A colouring book from Gunasena's Smart Learning series, a set of titles for young children published in English.
The series groups together early-years activity and learning books, and this one belongs to its colouring strand. It is the sort of book bought for a child who is still at the stage of filling in shapes with crayons or coloured pencils, and it is written and printed for that audience rather than for older children working on their own.
M. D. Gunasena & Co. (Pvt) Ltd is a long-established Colombo publisher and bookseller, with a list that runs from school texts and children's titles to general trade books in Sinhala and English. Its children's material is a familiar sight in Sri Lankan classrooms and homes, which makes this a straightforward choice for Sri Lankan families abroad who want their children working from the same books used at home, and for anyone assembling a small shelf of Sri Lankan children's titles.
