Dumbara Kithul and Peanut Butter, in a 225g glass jar. Dumbara sweetens peanut butter with its kithul treacle instead of cane syrup, so the nutty spread carries the caramel and date taste of the Sri Lankan kithul palm.
Kithul treacle is boiled from the sap of the wild fishtail palm (Caryota urens), which village tappers collect by hand from its cut flower stalk. This jar is the black label in the Dumbara range of four kithul spreads.
