The hotel is a restored family house within an acre of land with large surrounding verandas for guests to lounge comfortably on daybeds and read. The house has six rooms, each located around a central open sky courtyard, that allows the interiors to remain airy and cool even on the hottest Jaffna days. The dining space is set at the side of the courtyard and is a lovely place to sit in the morning for a hearty Sri Lankan breakfast before a day of exploring. At night, you can sit on the veranda and enjoy delicious Jaffna curries by candlelight.
There are six spacious rooms in the main house decorated in vibrant orange bedspreads and lamps. Four of these are deluxe with en-suite bathrooms. The two standard rooms have outside bathrooms with rain showers. All the rooms have TVs and air-conditioning. You will find a 24-hour front desk at the property.
Breakfast is either Western or Sri Lankan. The Sri Lankan is particularly good and gives you the opportunity to try some Jaffna cuisine, which includes pittu, a type of ground rice that is served with curries. tandard rooms have outside bathrooms with rain showers.
