THE TRUTH CAN BE DANGEROUS…
Fourteen-year-old Maya cannot believe she has to spend the summer with her grandparents, helping out at the family cosmetics firm. But things quickly get interesting when she meets a community of activists campaigning against the dumping of chemical waste.
Lying about herself to fit in with her new friends, Maya is soon caught in a web of deceit she can see no way out of. But when a protest mission uncovers a shocking secret that will put her family in danger, Maya must decide between truth and the ultimate betrayal.
