"Like the Wind" is a novel by Daisy Abey that explores the challenges faced by newlyweds Rupa and Aruna as they navigate the cultural clash of East and West in 1960s London. Their marriage crumbles amid these tensions, leaving Rupa a single parent in a northern inner city. The story alternates between their exotic jungle village and the very different worlds of London and Leeds.
