Dispatch and delivery times

We ship your order as soon as possible once payment is confirmed. In general you will receive it within the delivery window of the shipping method you chose:

• International courier: 6 to 9 business days.
• Airmail: 7 to 21 business days.

If you have a question about the delivery time for a specific item, please contact us before you order.

Ayurvedic products to the United States

We do not deliver Ayurvedic products that are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to addresses in the United States of America.

Local delivery (Sri Lanka)

Orders within Sri Lanka are delivered by courier to the address given on your order. A delivery charge applies, based on your location and the weight of the package, as set out in our domestic shipping rates.

International delivery

We deliver internationally using one of the following services. We use professional carriers so that your package arrives on time and in good condition.

• International courier — DHL or Aramex. See our DHL international rates and UPS international rates.
• Registered airmail — through the Sri Lanka Postal Service.
• Expedited Mail Service (EMS) — the EMS service of the Department of Posts, Sri Lanka: a flexible, affordable option when speed is not critical.

Transit times apply to major cities. Addresses in outlying or forwarding areas need additional days, and delivery can also be delayed by:

1. flight cancellations and technical delays;
2. customs clearance;
3. adverse weather;
4. an incorrect or incomplete delivery address.

What we cannot ship internationally

Most items can be delivered internationally. Exclusions include items containing liquids and items of a perishable nature. Individual items may carry their own exclusions, and some items are restricted depending on the destination country.

Who pays for what

Our responsibilities

• Export packaging: preparing your order so it can be exported.
• Loading: any cost of loading the shipment at our warehouse.
• Delivery to the point of export: transport to the port or place of export.
• Export duty, taxes and customs clearance: all costs and formalities of exporting the shipment from Sri Lanka.
• Origin terminal handling charges (OTHC).
• Loading on to the carrier.
• Freight: the cost of carrying the shipment to your destination.
• Destination terminal handling charges (DTHC).

Your responsibilities

• Unloading at destination: any cost of unloading the shipment at its final delivery address.
• Import duty, taxes and customs clearance: all costs of importing the shipment into your country, including the cost of any customs examination.

We cannot be held responsible for delays or costs arising from customs clearance in the destination country.

How shipping weight is calculated

The cost of carrying a package depends on the space it takes up on an aircraft as well as on what it weighs. Carriers therefore price shipments on volumetric (dimensional) weight: a figure that reflects the package's size. A light but bulky package occupies more space than its actual weight suggests.

We calculate both the actual weight and the volumetric weight of your package, and charge on whichever is higher. Volumetric weight is the package's length × width × height divided by a volumetric factor, which depends on the unit of measure:

• Centimetres: volumetric weight (kg) = L × W × H ÷ 5,000
• Inches: volumetric weight (kg) = L × W × H ÷ 305

For example, a 40 × 30 × 20 cm box has a volumetric weight of 4.8 kg. If it actually weighs 2 kg, it is charged as 4.8 kg.
