About this experience
Danigala — Sri Lanka's distinctive circular rock — rises from the lowland plains of the North Central Province, and this private 5-hour hike takes you straight to its summit. Your guide leads you up the trail as the landscape opens around you, revealing 360-degree views across paddy fields, reservoirs, and forest reserves stretching into the Uva and Eastern provinces. Each viewpoint along the ridge rewards the climb with a broader, unobstructed panorama.
Lakpura provides everything you need for the ascent: three litres of water per person, two organic energy drinks, a snack and fruit bag, a cool towel, and a returnable hiking bag. Once you descend, a changing area and shower facility at the base village let you freshen up before the journey back. Minimum age is 5, and the tour is conducted entirely in English.
