Your English-speaking local guide joins you from the start, and a tuk-tuk handles the transfer between your hotel and the station so you spend your energy where it counts. Once you alight, follow the railway tracks on a short hike up to the bungalow, explore its storied rooms, and stroll the well-kept gardens before settling into a picnic lunch amid the surrounding tea fields.
The full day runs nine and a half hours, giving you unhurried time at the bungalow before you retrace the route by train back to Ella. Lakpura includes hotel pickup and drop-off, tuk-tuk transfers to and from the station, your guide, a water bottle per person, and lunch.
