A folding road map of Sri Lanka in English, compiled by M. D. Gunasena & Co., the Colombo publishing house. It is the English version of a map the company issues in more than one language.
The content is route-focused: it sets out how to reach the country's cities and towns, and the information has been brought up to date, including the expressways built to date. For a visitor driving the island, or anyone planning an itinerary before arriving, that combination of trunk roads and newer highway links is the practical part — the road network here has changed considerably in recent years, and an older map will not show it.
A printed map remains useful where mobile coverage is patchy and where it helps to see the whole island at once rather than a phone-sized window of it. This one suits drivers, self-guided travellers and anyone wanting a wall reference for distances and connections between regions.
