A workbook in environmental studies for Grade Two pupils, prepared by M. D. Gunasena & Co. to follow the new syllabus introduced for the primary grades. It was compiled by a panel of contributors with experience in primary teaching, and is intended for use both by children at that level and by the teachers working with them.
The text is entirely in Sinhala. Buyers outside Sri Lanka should know this before ordering: there is no English edition of the material here, and a reader will need Sinhala to work through the exercises. For Sinhala-speaking families abroad following the Sri Lankan primary curriculum at home, or for teachers and tutors working with that syllabus overseas, that is precisely the point.
Jayasiri Kospelawaththa is named as the author. M. D. Gunasena & Co. (Pvt) Ltd is a long-established Colombo publisher of Sinhala and English titles, with a substantial list in school and educational publishing.
