A colouring book for young children, one title in a series of picture books made for exactly that purpose. This one takes birds as its subject.
Each page carries an outline drawing for the child to fill in, with the English word naming the bird set alongside it. The idea is simple enough: while a child works through the pictures with crayons or colouring pencils, the names and the shapes of the birds settle in alongside the colouring itself. It is early practice in handling colour and staying to a line, and at the same time a first encounter with a small vocabulary in English.
Suited to pre-school and early primary-age children, at home or in a classroom, and to adults looking for something undemanding to put in front of a child who likes to draw. The text is in English.
