Earl's Regency sits in the mountainous countryside of Tennekumbura, approximately 5 km from the city of Kandy and 120 km from Colombo. Positioned just across the Tennekumbura Bridge over the Mahaweli River, the hotel commands sweeping views of the river and the surrounding mountain ranges, making it a peaceful retreat from which guests can explore the many historical and cultural sites of the Kandy region. It is managed by Aitken Spence Hotels of Sri Lanka.

The property is arranged across two wings. The main building houses the reception area, restaurant, bar, an executive floor with conference facilities, and executive suites. The newer wing is home to deluxe rooms, a spa, and a garden restaurant.

Rooms and Suites

All 104 rooms and suites are well appointed with private balconies that open to either mountain or river views. Standard furnishings throughout include double beds, a writing desk, and a couch. In-room facilities cover air conditioning, an overhead fan, satellite television, IDD telephone, internet access, a mini-bar, tea and coffee making equipment, an in-room safe, a hair dryer, 24-hour room service, and laundry service. En-suite bathrooms are fitted with cold and hot water showers or bathtubs.

Deluxe Rooms

The 89 deluxe rooms are tastefully furnished, each opening onto a private balcony with scenic mountain or river views.

Premium Rooms

Six spacious premium rooms include all standard facilities along with a DVD player and library. Two of the premium suites are situated on the executive floor in the main hotel wing, close to the restaurant.

Mini Suites

Three mini suites each feature a dining area and a private balcony overlooking the river. In addition to the standard in-room facilities, they include a DVD player, bathrobes, and bath slippers.

Natural Rock Junior Suites

Built around natural rock formations, three spacious junior suites offer a dining area and a private balcony, giving guests an unusually intimate connection with the hillside landscape.

Mountbatten Suite

The most luxurious accommodation in the hotel, the Mountbatten Suite comprises a tastefully furnished bedroom, a separate dining area, and a private terrace.
