About this experience
Board your air-conditioned vehicle in Koggala and head north along the coast on this private, 7.5-hour day tour. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide takes you first to Lunuganga, the celebrated country estate of architect Sir Geoffrey Bawa — a landscape of terraced gardens, pools, and pavilions shaped over decades. From there you travel to Balapitiya for a boat safari on the Madu River, weaving through mangrove channels and past small island temples.
