Board your air-conditioned vehicle in Koggala and head north along the coast on this private, 7.5-hour day tour. Your English-speaking chauffeur guide takes you first to Lunuganga, the celebrated country estate of architect Sir Geoffrey Bawa — a landscape of terraced gardens, pools, and pavilions shaped over decades. From there you travel to Balapitiya for a boat safari on the Madu River, weaving through mangrove channels and past small island temples. A water bottle is provided for each guest throughout the tour.\n\nHotel pickup and drop-off from Koggala is included, along with transport in the air-conditioned vehicle for the full day. Entrance tickets, meals, and drinks are not included, so bring some cash for the river safari entry and any refreshments you want along the way. Minimum age is 5. Group size is private, so the pace stays entirely yours.
