Elephant paradise
If you want to see elephants: go to Kaudulla National Park. You’ll see loads of elephants who are not afraid to come near. A very magical experience!

Poor management of jeep numbers
There seems to be no limit on tourist jeeps going into the park at any one time. On our mid-Aug visit, us tourists outnumbered the 100 or so elephants gathered at the reservoir. And phalanxes of jeeps almost blocked the…
