What does Carmona retusa look like?

Accepted Answer

Is there any scientific research on Carmona retusa?

Accepted Answer

Preliminary pharmacological studies have identified compounds in Carmona retusa with potential antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. Where can Carmona retusa be found in Sri Lanka?

Question 7

Is Carmona retusa the same as the Fukien tea tree?

Accepted Answer

Yes, Carmona retusa is widely referred to as the Fukien tea tree, a name derived from the Fujian province of China where the plant has long been cultivated. It is also called Philippine tea tree and scorpion bush in different regional traditions. Despite the 'tea' in its common name, it is not related to the tea plant used to produce Ceylon tea.
